Kevin Cummings is a writer, teacher and former journalist based in Dallas, Texas. He studied creative writing and sociology at Texas Tech University. His writing searches for meaning in the intimate moments of everyday life and seeks to examine the boundaries between self and soul.

His reporting and editing has been published in The Plano Star Courier, McKinney Courier-Gazette, Rowlett Lakeshore Times, Celina Record, Mesquite News, Allen American, and Frisco Enterprise. His creative work has appeared in Heavy Hands Ink, The Beatnik and the 13th Street Review, as well as a self-published collection of poetry titled God’s Own Country.

 

His most recent project has been to explore lesser-worn paths of the world and navigate the unexpected moments of life on the road, with his wife and photographer, Jasmine Anwer, as he shares stories, thoughts and tips through his blog, No Journey’s End.
